part of the AIDA25 committee. Our task is to evaluate this year's
candidates for the EurAI Artificial Intelligence Dissertation Award.
This year, we have thirty candidates. We have to give only one
prize, but we can choose another to receive a Diploma, but this is
not a common procedure.<br>

<p>It ought to be crystal clear that we have to evaluate the <i>impact</i>
of each PhD Thesis rather than the Thesis itself. We try to
measure their contribution to the field of Artificial Intelligence
in Europe.</p>
It is crucial to remember that all our deliberations and emails <b>must
be kept strictly confidential</b> during this process and after.
This confidentiality is essential to maintain the integrity of the
award and the candidates' trust.<br>

<p>I am processing the materials to ease our task. During the
weekend, you will receive an email to get access to a folder with
all materials to start a bid. Each of us has to evaluate three to
four candidates. Once this is complete, Amanda, EurAI executive
secretary, will organise one—if necessary, two—meetings to explain
the criteria and procedures. You can reach out to her for any
further information or clarification.</p>
